On February 16, 2026, the Beech Grove community was shaken by the tragic loss of Officer Brian Elliott, who was killed in the line of duty. In the days that followed, residents covered his patrol car with flowers and prayers, and local leaders spoke about his dedication and sacrifice. Amid the grief, Boss Bunny Graphics wanted to do more than post a tribute online — we decided to use our craft to support the community’s healing.
A Small Gesture With a Big Impact: Free Memorial Stickers
In the immediate aftermath of Officer Elliott’s death, we printed more than 3,000 free memorial stickers for anyone who wanted to show support. These vinyl decals feature the fallen officer flag and the Beech Grove Police Department emblem, allowing neighbors to display their solidarity on cars, storefronts, and windows. Owner Lindsay Davenport explained why we took this approach: “What can we do that’s more than just a post? We wanted to give back to the community something to show their grief and help them mourn,” she told local reporters.
Our shop distributed the decals at no cost, and we invited anyone — whether or not they were previous customers — to stop by and pick one up. Within hours, the stickers were gone, prompting a second print run to meet demand. Seeing these decals around town served as a visual reminder that Beech Grove is a tight‑knit community where neighbors look out for each other. Lifelong resident Ron Magness said he placed one on his truck to show support for the Elliott family and noted that tragedies like this are rare in Beech Grove.
Amplifying the Message: News Coverage by WTHR and WRTV
Our initiative quickly caught the attention of local media. WTHR’s report highlighted how our shop, along with countless residents, contributed to the growing memorial outside the police station. The story also quoted Mayor James Coffman and Police Chief Michael Maurice, who expressed gratitude for the community’s support and underscored the sacrifice Officer Elliott made. Meanwhile, WRTV covered the outpouring of support from police organizations and community groups, showing how the city rallied together following the tragedy. Both stories helped spread the word about the memorial stickers and encouraged more people to participate.
Continuing Support for the Elliott Family
While stickers may seem like a small gesture, they serve as a powerful symbol of remembrance. We plan to keep printing and distributing these decals as long as people want them. In addition, we encourage those who are able to donate to the official fund established by the Central Indiana Police Foundation to support Officer Elliott’s family.
Thank You, Beech Grove
